Every skin is protected by a layer called the skin barrier, made up of oils and other natural skin substances that ensure the skin is always protected (our defense against external influences). This skin barrier is essential. It ensures that irritants cannot reach your cells. In our lotion, we add ingredients that keep and strengthen the skin barrier. When your skin barrier stays intact, your skin is generally protected. It is also the skin barrier that gets damaged with babies and children due to exposure to urine, poop, and friction from diapers.

Why do we choose to include fragrance?
Our fragrance consists of a drop of 100% natural fragrance (natural vanilla and a plant extract). It’s a mild, safe scent that is dosed very low, enhancing the experience just a little without being harmful or irritating to your baby's skin. It is not our goal to mask the smell of poop. The aim is to make it a pleasant moment of care and bonding with your baby.

Why do we choose to include preservatives?
Safety is our top priority. Preserving is essential because many babies do not yet have a fully developed immune system. Preservatives ensure that water is unavailable to bacteria and fungi. We have our products made in a cleanroom, but once in use, you, as a mother, will be putting your hands in and out of the packaging. That’s why we consciously choose a very gentle and mild preservative.
